I have put this video together to show you a good defensive shape and how it moves around the pitch to block your opponents route to goal.
The first part I have used the Tactics Board to show the basic movements and then I have used some footage from man u v west brom to show it in action.
Try to watch it a few times to understand your positions responsibility.
Also, notice how easy it is to defend once you have got behind the ball. If you get back behind the ball straight away it saves a lot of running later.
Remember good defending creates more attacking opportunities for us.
